Students’ short term exchange programme to England sponsored by Rotary Club of Macau
The Rotary Club of Macau sponsored two of our students, Ricky Kuan and Emily Leong, to attend a short term exchange programme (STEP) to England from 13th July to 27th July. It is the eighth consecutive year of the Macau Rotary Club to support our students to experience the foreign culture and broaden their horizon through getting along with teenagers from Poland, Romania, Spain, Mexico, USA, Norway, Sweden and France. Ricky and Emily were hosted by the local Rotarian, Mr. Eric Cowcill for four days right after they arrived England, they then spent nine nights at Petty Pool Activity Centre, where they had to work together as a team with other participants to accomplish difficult tasks ranging from archery to Senior Section camping, which they would never come into contact with in their daily life. What they experienced in these two weeks will definitely change their view about the world and be one of the most unforgettable memories in their lives. More importantly, they know how to walk on their own feet and have confidence to face the difficulties and solve them bravely.
