To motivate students and cultivate English learning, The Readers Theatre (RT) competition was organized at Saint Paul School Hall on 16th June!
Students had their first round of competition in their home classes. Afterwards, the best characters of each class were chosen as representatives to compete in the Intra-class Readers Theatre Competition.
Two student Emcees, Ivy Lei (F5A) and Leah Li (F5B), greeted all warmly and kicked off the event in which 150 audiences attended in hope of showing support to their fellow classmates. The competition was adjudicated by 4 experienced judges, Ms. Li Fang, Mr. Philp Lai, Ms. Sue Tai and Ms. Tobie Ieong, who scored each team based upon criteria ranging from stage performances to speech delivery.
All Form Five students were enthusiastic about the competition. They enjoyed all the performances and gave cheers and praises to the contestants from each class who showcased their personality and capabilities. At last, Ms. Tobie Ieong made a speech at the competition to thank all the student helpers, contestants, audiences and teachers and finally announced the results of the winners and The Best Interpreter.
Contestants also expressed gratitude to all the teachers who invested enormous time and effort in coaching them. Let’s pass on our thanks and congratulations to all students who participated as contestants and student helpers. The competition would not have been a success without their continued support! Well done, teachers and students!
