St. Paul School is committed to fostering a multicultural learning environment that allows students to explore and appreciate the unique charms of both Chinese and English cultures. To achieve this, our secondary school proudly hosted the “Chinese and English Language Festival” on the morning of March 1 in the auditorium. This event featured a vibrant array of performances and interactive activities designed to celebrate the exchange and integration of these two rich cultures while cultivating students’ global perspectives.

The atmosphere was electric, filled with excitement as students showcased their talents. We were honored to welcome distinguished guests, including Ms. Sandy Leong, the Executive Vice President of the Speech Professionals Association, and Mr. Neil Spencer, foreign teacher at our school. Together with our members of the administrative committee and enthusiastic students, they enjoyed a diverse lineup of artistic expressions.

The performances highlighted the essence of both cultures, featuring a captivating mix of recitation, martial arts, drama, speeches, singing, solo performances, and dancing. This festival provided an invaluable platform for students to demonstrate their multifaceted talents, enriching their educational experience while promoting the diverse development of our campus culture.

Through the “Chinese and English Language Festival,” we aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the similarities and differences between Chinese and English cultures. We hope this event inspires a lasting interest in and appreciation for multiculturalism, preparing our students to thrive in an increasingly globalised world.
